Los usuarios de telefonía móvil tienen 13 derechos básicos, recogidos en la Ley de mejora de los Consumidores y Usuarios de 2006:

- Derecho a Conocer la Facturación.
- Derecho a la Información.
- Derecho a la Información y Desconexión de Servicios de Tarificación Adicional.
- Derecho a unas Comunicaciones y un Servicio de calidad.
- Derecho a la Suspensión del Servicio.
- Derecho a la Desconexión.
- Derecho a una compensación por la Interrupción del Servicio.
- Derecho a la gratuidad de las llamadas a los servicios de emergencia.
- Derecho al Secreto en las comunicaciones y a la Protección de Datos.
- Derecho a una Indemnización por Daños.
- Derecho a la Portabilidad.
- Derecho a Reclamar.
